Kevin Michael McKeehan, better known as TobyMac is an American Contemporary Christian Music singer songwriter, rapper and record producer. This insanely talented artist started his music career in a trio called DC Talk where he was with them from 1987 until he left to start his solo career in 2001. He has since continued as a successful solo artist and has released nine studio albums, his first being “Momentum” in 2001 all the way to “Life after Death” in 2022 and He has announced “Heaven on My Mind” which is to be released on March 7th of this year. 

Fun Fact! TobyMac is the third Christian artist to have a Number one debut on the Billboard top 200 charts, he achieved this with “Eye on It”” which now has well over one hundred million views on the album. And between his solo career and DC Talk he has sold more than ten million albums! These are numbers that only legends hit and judging by how long he has been going for, TobyMac is definitely one of the Legends. I mean he has also won several Grammy Awards through from 2009 to today. Best Contemporary Christian Music Album and Best Gospel Album are just a few of the titles he has under him. 

Multiple of his songs were featured in the Xbox 360 video game “Crackdown” which is an action/adventure game that was released in 2007. He has multiple songs that have been certified by the RIAA including the “Welcome to Diverse City” which was released in 2004. This song sold over twenty thousand copies in less than a week! In 2020 he released a single titled “21 years” which was dedicated to the memory of his son who had passed away earlier on in the year. In 2024 he released “A lil Church” as a single and announced his ninth studio album “Heaven on My Mind”.
