The Brothers

The Avett Brothers are led by Seth & Scott Avett who take lead and backing vocals. guitars, piano, kick drums, kazoo, percussions, harmonica, and banjos. They are joined by Bob Crawford and Joe Kwon who gracefully play the double bass, bass guitar, trumpet, violin, mariachi bass, kazoo, cowbell, and musical saw. Though they've been around since the year 2000, The Avett Brothers found their big break upon the release of their major-label debut "I and Love and You". The album's title track marked their first big hit, with the album selling over 500,000 copies in the U.S. Peaking at #16 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and hitting the top spot on the folk albums chart, they marked a sonic revolution. From then on, these brothers became a crowd-favorite name in the folk circuit.
