Jump in and jam along to indie rock icons Pixies & Modest Mouse on Friday, June 28th, as they shake the Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion down to its core with guest singer Cat Power! Rejoice in the exquisitely eccentric sound that fronted the ‘90s alt-rock boom, courtesy of Boston Music Award winners Pixies’ signature surf-punk symphonies, which often feature Alternative Airplay hits “Velouria,” “Here Comes Your Man” and “Letters to Memphis.” GRAMMY Award-nominated Modest Mouse, meanwhile, will follow up with the simmering anthems that fueled their Billboard 200 #1 album We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank, with crowd-pleasing performances of classic songs like “Float On” and “Lampshades on Fire.” Presented by Live Nation, our two co-headlining bands will continue last year’s joint tour this summer of ‘24, plotting a path to 23 of North America’s foremost concert venues, which include the city of Rogers’ very own acoustically refined Walmart AMP. “Queen of Sadcore” Cat Power will open the night as the event’s guest act, coating the venue with a swath of somber melodies that bridge blues, rock, and soul, which frequently include cathartic classics such as “The Greatest” and “Sea of Love.”
