Walmart AMP
Alison Krauss and Union Station are back on tour together after a rather long hiatus. This is an event that fans of the Queen of Bluegrass have been waiting on for years. The Walmart AMP in Rogers, Arkansas, will play host to not only Alison Krauss and Union Station but one of the most well-rounded lineups in the genre this year. The show is set to take place on Friday, May 16th.
Jerry Douglas will be one of the performers who will grace the stage on this night. He brings a good mix of traditional country tunes with his own brand of background music. A lot of these performers can hit the more pop side of country, but they still keep that bluegrass vein pumping. It makes for a great all-around show.
Willie Watson's Gallows Pole and Mexican Cowboy will also help serenade the event. As you can tell, this is going to be an all-out bluegrass fest, the likes of which you've probably never seen before. It's all topped off with the reunion of Alison Krauss and Union Station.

As mentioned, Alison Krauss and Union Station are promising a new album by the time they hit the road. That means that you might need to catch up on their latest music before this date at the Walmart AMP rolls around. If we're being honest, though, most of you who will be filling into the amphitheater are hoping to catch some of the old tracks. "When You Say Nothing at All" and "The Lucky One" have remained fan favorites even through the hiatus years. Some of these songs are going to bring that air of nostalgia that you may not be coming out here for but that you're going to catch regardless. You might be in the crowd just thinking it's really great to have Alison Krauss and Union Station back.
